The IMO Putter is a center mass concept where Guerin Rife places 85% of the putter's head weight in the middle 40% and extends it backward from the face to maximize MOI. Because the IMO is shafted to be face-balanced, the shaft is "inline" with the concentration of mass promoting an extremely stable, on-plane stroke path. Since virtually no golfer miss-hits a putt more than 5/8" to either side of center, 85% of this putter's mass is directed into and through the ball. This momentum helps cure one of the major faults in putting: deceleration.
The technology is actually visible. From a top view, the center heavy mass area is emphasized by silver paint coating. The side wings, which are hollow on their underside, are painted a slightly darker color, giving dramatic emphasis to the solid weighted center section. The IMO also features Rife's LieAline Fitting System of a small notch located on the top rear cavity area directly above the sightline. By adjusting the lie angle of the shaft, golfers can get the notch and lower cavity sightline to match, personalizing the putter and locking in their individual setup. This promotes a consistent stroke path and increased accuracy.
Features:
- Head weight: 350 grams

- Shaft kickback: .5 degree (shaft leans back away from the face toward the right eye)
- Effective loft: 1 degree (head loft minus kickback)
