In the Exotics tradition, the Tour Edge Lady Exotics XCG5 Fairway Wood is ultra long. It features a titanium cup face and crown, a special beta titanium face insert for added distance, and an even heavier tungsten sole plate that weighs 151 grams or 68% of the club head's total weight. This new combination delivers entirely new levels of forgiveness and distance.

To eliminate weld material, optimize the center of gravity location, and enhance the feel off the face, the titanium body and tungsten sole are combo‐brazed and the face insert is plasma welded. Extremely expensive, combo‐brazing is utilized when only the highest‐quality joints are needed. To obtain high‐quality joints, the parts must be fitted to 1/1000 of an inch and the base metals must be exceptionally clean and free of oxides. The process is expensive because it must be performed inside a vacuum chamber, but the end result is exceptional because it greatly reduces residual part stresses due to slow heating and cooling cycles. This, in turn, significantly improves the thermal and mechanical properties of the material. Six‐point perimeter weighting system with four external and two internal weight cavities lowers the center of gravity and moves it deep in the head for enhanced distance.
