The adidas Men's Powerband 3.0 Golf Shoesare all about bringing the golfer lower to the ground and transferring more energy into the swing for more power on every shot. For the 3.0 model of the Powerbands, adidas re-engineered the Powerband Chassis with a new TPU platform with strategically placed perimeter supports and Powerband Geometry which promotes more stability in the foot and a greater energy transfer through the swing. Also used in the Powerbands is THiNtech which is a re-engineered cleat attachment system that removes excess mass to bring the golfer 32% closer to the turf. This results in a lowered and more stable center of gravity for the golfer which then allows for a more stable and powerful swing. The outsole features adidas’ TRAXION technology which uses secondary lugs that are strategically shaped and positioned to provide enhanced turf grip and reduced slippage on all types of ground surfaces while remaining friendly to greens. The toe features adiTUFF, an abrasion-resistant material that improves the durability in the toe area which gets additional wear due to the way golfers drag the toe in the follow-through of the swing. Beneath the footbed in the forefoot, there’s a layer of adiPRENE material which is highly resilient and responsive for enhanced feedback, which leads to improved footwork, weight balance and, ultimately, energy transfer. In footbed itself is adidas’ visco-elastic FitFOAM material which molds to the contours of the foot to provide a personalized fit for added comfort and stability. Finally, a dual-layer weatherproofing construction called ClimaProof wicks moisture away from the foot toward the shoe’s surface and encloses the foot in a water proof membrane to keep you cool, dry and comfortable for a full 18 holes.
